Andrew Hickey Appointed Managing Director of Ensto Renley

Andrew Hickey has been appointed Managing Director of Ensto Renley Ltd in Ireland as of March 5, 2026. He holds a ME in Engineering Management and Diploma in Electrical Engineering, combining technical expertise with strategic leadership. 

Andrew brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience across the energy, power systems, and electrical engineering industries. Most recently, he served as HV Operations Director at Designer Group in Dublin, where he led organisational strategy, drove commercial growth in the Energy Business Unit, strengthened partner ecosystems, advanced supply‑chain maturity, and expanded technical training capabilities in support of the energy transition. 

Prior to this role, Andrew held a significant leadership position as Commercial Manager at Hitachi Energy Ireland, where he oversaw a business portfolio spanning Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Data Centres, and emerging Transport markets. He successfully guided the organisation through a full transition following its acquisition from ABB, while delivering a strengthened customer portfolio and growth strategy.  Andrew has previously also held senior management roles at ABB in Dublin and gained technical and leadership experience at Schneider Electric and Jackson Switchgear.
