Managing Ethical Compliance

As a family-owned company, Ensto deeply values sustainability and ethical conduct, which are integrated into our core values. We strive to strengthen our competence and improve our business for the greater benefit of society. Ensto has production facilities in several countries and sources materials from numerous main countries globally, while maintaining human and labor rights, healthy working conditions, and a zero-tolerance policy for corruption. We are committed to building sustainability competence within our network and integrating it into our daily operations, as well as fostering sustainability internally and with our partners.

Policies on Ethics and Compliance

Ensto Code of Conduct

A key component of our ethical framework is the Ensto Employee Code of Conduct. This Code empowers us to make the right choices every day, fostering trust, respect, and accountability across our organization and with our stakeholders. In cases where local laws, regulations, customs, or norms differ from our Code of Conduct, we adhere to the highest ethical and legal standards to promote social and environmental responsibility, and good corporate governance.

Supplier Code of Conduct

We set strict requirements for our business parters to uphold high standards for responsible business practices. Ensto's Supplier Code of Conduct defines the minimum sustainability and ethics requirements for our suppliers. We expect our suppliers to implement these requirements across their own supply chains, and compliance with our Code is an integral part of our supplier selection criteria. Our group level target is that 100% of our category A suppliers accept our Code through an eProcurement portal, eAcademy training program or by signing Ensto's contract. We monitor the progress of our Suppliers Code of Conduct implementation monthly.

Anti-corruption and Anti-bribery Policy

As part of our dedication to ethical business conduct, Ensto has a strict Anti-corruption and Anti-bribery Policy. We reject any form of corruption or bribery and actively work to prevent unethical practices in every aspect of our operations. We have assessed the employee groups and regions that might encounter challenging situations.

Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Policies

Ensto’s Health and Safety and Quality and Environment policies are reviewed yearly. To ensure effective communication and understanding of the main policies, we arranged mandatory e-learning courses for all Ensto personnel. The e-learning is mandatory for all employees. We also have a mandatory online basic training on sustainability for our office employees.

Audits Play a Significant Role in the Development of Our Supply Chain

We conduct regular audits, carried out by trained internal auditors, to assess compliance with our sustainability and operational criteria. In supplier sustainability our focus has been on environmental management and human and labor rights, especially on workplace safety and working conditions. Corrective actions – when needed – are discussed and agreed with suppliers and verified by follow up audits.
