The additional kit is used together with the 1 kV joint kit SJK for jointing of belted paper insulated, lead sheathed, steel tape armoured 4 core cables (e.g. PLKVJ)to plastic insulated 4 and 3+1 core cables.The kit includes three heat shrink tubes for protection of the paper insulation, a heat shrink breakout, a braid of tinned copper wires for jointing the lead sheath and armour.
