Broader Environmental Transparency Across Product Families
Environmental Product Declarations provide third-party verified, life cycle-based environmental information using internationally recognized assessment methodologies. The five newly published EPDs expand Ensto's environmental data offering and provide customers, utilities, project developers, and other stakeholders with transparent environmental information for products used throughout electricity distribution networks.
The EPDs have been developed using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology covering the full product life cycle, from raw material extraction and manufacturing through use and end-of-life treatment. Representative products were assessed to reflect typical material composition, manufacturing processes, and technical performance within each product family. Conservative assumptions and verified datasets were applied to ensure reliability and transparency of the results.
Supporting Informed Decision-Making
Customers and project developers increasingly require verified environmental information for procurement, sustainability reporting, life cycle assessments, and infrastructure planning. These EPDs provide standardized environmental data that can support product evaluation of electricity distribution solutions and help respond to growing environmental requirements across the industry.
The EPDs provide independently verified environmental impact information that can be used alongside technical and economic criteria in product selection. The EPDs do not indicate that a product has a lower environmental impact than alternative solutions; instead, they provide transparent information based on standardized assessment rules.

The publication of these five new EPDs represents another important step in Ensto's ongoing work to increase product environmental transparency. Building on previously published EPDs for SLIW insulation piercing connectors, cold shrink and hybrid joints, and screened separable connectors, Ensto continues to expand the availability of verified environmental information across its product portfolio.
Ensto is further strengthening product environmental transparency through life cycle assessment, supplier data collaboration, and the publication of Environmental Product Declarations that provide standardized information for decision-making throughout the electricity distribution value chain.
