Ensto expands to street and road lighting
Ensto has signed an agreement with Belgian family company Schréder Group about outdoor lighting sales in Finland and Estonia. This agreement supports Ensto's strategy to concentrate on energy efficiency and sustainability. Agreement will enlarge Ensto's offering in street and road lighting.
Schréder Group is founded in 1906 in Belgium and it is an international family company like Ensto. Since 2016 Scandinavia, Finland and The Baltics belong to the responsibility of Schréder Polska, led by General Manager Krzysztof Durzyński.
Street and road lighting
Schréder's lighting portfolio supports Ensto's target to grow as an expert in light in home- and export markets in the coming years. Street and road lighting business keeps on growing fast, driven by wide renewals when moving from traditional light sources to LED portfolio.
Support from Utility Network business
Moving into an area of street and road lighting is a natural move as Ensto wants to grow and offer solutions to power grid development where Ensto Utility Network –business unit has been strong for decades. Ensto's contacts, experience and knowledge in electricity distribution business support the targets also in lighting business.
Market leader in 2020
Ensto's target is to be market leader in street and road lighting in Finland and Estonia by 2020. Ensto is already number one in residential lighting and on a podium position in other product areas. Street and road lighting will be one of the focus areas as this cooperation starts and new projects will be delivered already this year.
Ensto Lighting forms a new sales team to focus on outdoor lighting in January 2017. The new team will be led by Mr. Jukka Tuovinen, who is appointed as a sales director for outdoor lighting, starting on January 23rd. Jukka has a long experience in outdoor lighting and he's been working for Philips and now moving to Ensto from Osram's sales manager position. Jukka is an appreciated and known expert in light and he has executed many high-profile projects in Finland and Estonia.
