Route220 and Ensto deliver together 20 EV charging stations to the city of Turin. With the partnership Turin becomes the first city in Italy to provide electric mobility services for its citizens and tourists. It now welcomes all EV drivers guaranteeing them an easy access to charge. The charging stations, in proximity of many tourist attractions, give EV drivers the possibility to make the best of the time of the charge, discovering the beauty that the city offers.
Route220 has provided the new evway charging service for the capital of Piedmont. The evway aims to provide a complete and innovative service for EV drivers. The charging stations will be mapped in a free App and monitored to verify their real-time availability; the charging will also be activated and paid with just a click. The open platform, interoperable with more than 30 European operators, manages the charging stations of Turin, together with the 18 000 already active charging points in Europe, ensuring everyone an easy access to the charge, while the evway App promotes the beauties of the territory and the accommodation facilities near the charging stations.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Route220, Carolina Solcia, thanks the municipal council of Turin: - We are proud to take charge of the management of this important network of 20 charging points, because it gives us the opportunity to prove that in Italy and specially in Turin, it is possible to do business in an innovative and in development field, in accordance with the legislations and without public funds.
In the project Ensto has delivered EV charging stations for a total of 20 PRO charging points in the city. The charging stations are AC Chargers with two standard Type2 plugs per unit. The chargers have dynamic load management and they are ready for advanced vehicle and charger communication (IEC15118). This simplifies the user's daily life, by recognizing the vehicle at the charging point without any distinct identification with the card or the mobile application.
Sales Director of Ensto Solutions, Ilkka Koisti, rejoices the joint project. - Ensto is happy to be part in bringing further electric mobility services to Italy, and Turin has set a great example to all other cities, sums up Koisti.
