Ensto contributes to the Alpiq e-mobility business in Italy

Alpiq Energia Italia S.p.A. and Ensto have cooperated in the realization of a significant e-mobility project in Milan, Italy. Five Ensto's public EV charging stations have been installed in front of the headquarter of the utility company Sorgenia S.p.A. guaranteeing eRoaming for the first time in Milan thanks to the connection to the mobile app Italy easy4you supplied by Alpiq. This project is one concrete example of the collaboration between Alpiq in Italy and Ensto, which started two years ago with several major charging point operators.

Innovative EV charging services

“Thanks to a successful collaboration with the Municipality of Milan,” comments Massimo Sabbioneda, Head of E-Mobility Italy of Alpiq Energia Italia S.p.A., "We were able to satisfy all technical requirements necessary for public e-mobility service. With our mobile app Italy easy4you available on App Store and Google Play, Sorgenia S.p.A. started to create an e-mobility customer base to which offer more and more digital services in the future.”

“The clean and elegant design of Ensto charging stations,” adds Massimo Sabbioneda, “Is one of the strategic tools we offer thanks to our customizable and full e-mobility package. The choice of Ensto charging units ensures to our customers a great visibility, not only related to e-mobility activity but also in terms of branding.”

Smart EV charging solutions

Sorgenia's charging solution has an advanced dynamic load balancing system in place. This solution secures the best possible charging power per socket depending on the number of vehicles and their charging capabilities. Chargers are connected to Alpiq Italy's back office system through OCPP1.5 to secure the full remote management.

Sales Director of Ensto Solutions, Ilkka Koisti, rejoices the joint project. “Ensto is happy to boost electric mobility services in Italy with Alpiq, and it is a pleasure to work with great partners like the leader of the project Mr. Sabbioneda,” sums up Koisti.
