Working for Ensto since 2019

Kirsi-Marja was appointed Director, Human Resources, and a member of Ensto Management Team in March 2019. She acts as a Senior Vice President of HR, Brand & Communications, Marketing and Sustainability.

She has a degree of MSc in Social Science and an EMBA, and she has worked for the last six years at Empower Oyj, a Finnish service group for energy and telecommunications companies and industry. Prior to this, Kirsi-Marja worked as HR Director at Finnair Catering Oy and in other Finnair Group's management positions.

Kirsi-Marja feels that Ensto is a strongly value-driven international family company with an excellent reputation in its own industry, customers and personnel. "Ensto has a clear vision "Better life. With electricity", and the company's solutions play a major role in the energy economy of the future. Ensto is a modern technology company, and its strategy is supported by a committed group of passionate Ensto people in 20 countries", she says. 

Her family consists of a husband, his two children and her two children, of which a daughter is still living at home. Kirsi-Marja's leisure time is largely spent with animals: "Our family's Spanish water dog Zorro and my daughter's and my horse hobby take almost every minute of my spare time. I've always been very fond of animals, and I can only blame myself for my daughter's love for equestrian sports and horse racing." During the summer, the family spends time on an island in Näsijärvi, where there is much to do and renovate, since the summer residence was built in 1930.
