Ensto has made life better with electricity through times and generations. 60 years ago Ensio Miettinen established the company, Insinööritoimisto Ensio Miettinen, and began manufacturing cable glands and other metal accessories for the industry. Ensio's vision for products was to make them easier to install and better to use. Fresh ideas, modern manufacturing methods and firm cost awareness were the keys to his success.
Over the decades Ensto has evolved into an international technology company, which employs ca. 1600 people in 20 countries and designs and provides smart electrical solutions to improve the safety, functionality, reliability and efficiency of smart grids, buildings and transportation. The ownership of the company was transferred to the next generation in 2001, and the majority of the ownership was transferred to the third generation of the family in April 2018.
