Ensto Cubo at the Olympic Garden Beijing

Approximately 15 000 Ensto Cubo D polycarbonate enclosures were utilised in the lighting system of the Olympic Garden built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Enclosures were installed below ground, which is why the quality requirements for approved enclosures in the project were especially high.

The below-ground enclosures played an important role in the extravagant lighting at the 2008 Olympics Olympic Garden. Due to their challenging positioning, enclosures required high protection class against dust and moisture. They also had to endure extreme weights. Designed for demanding conditions, protection class IP66/67 and IK08 Ensto Cubo enclosures suited extremely well for the project and met the requirements of the contractor, China XinAo Group.

Enclosures, as all other apparatuses used in the Olympics, were tested for the project by the Chinese testing authority, China Communication Apparatus Testing Center.
