Why do roadsides attract so much garbage?

Our Hungarian employees took up the challenge of the World Cleanup Day and decided to clean up the road leading to Ensto's premises.

The eight-person cleaning team did an efficient job, and had the time to reflect on a few questions around littering:

  • If the environment is clean, is there then a higher threshold to throw out garbage?
  • Why do roadsides attract so much garbage?
  • If everyone were to take part in voluntary cleaning work, would they be more aware of the consequences of littering?

Indeed, here’s something to think about. The answer is quite near you.

As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, Ensto took part in the World Cleanup Day in eight countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, India, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.
