The amount of garbage alarmingly high

Ensto’s Polish team joined the World Cleanup Day a day prior the big day on September 15th. Eleven employees gathered in Straszyn, determined to clean up a local school’s yard and the nearby forest.

Those who attended the cleaning day reported it was great to do something beneficial, both locally and globally. It also got the participants to ponder about the Earth's ability to carry the current amount of rubbish.

“The sheer amount of rubbish collected at the site was enormous, which is very alarming. People should really pay attention to their practices and take better care of the environment”, reported the Polish team.

In order to bring more awareness and to teach people the right ways to operate, environmental and waste issues should be addressed more at home, in schools, and in workplaces.

As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, Ensto took part in the World Cleanup Day in eight countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, India, Poland,  Russia, and Ukraine.
