Raising an active generation of kids

We believe that all children and young people should have the right to take part in sports and to have positive experiences when they do so. Doing things together and creating a brighter future for all are the themes we have chosen to mark our 60th anniversary this year. At Ensto, we want to promote active lifestyles for children and young people and to play an active role in our local communities.

One of our chosen charities is FC Futura Juniorit ry, a junior football club based in the town of Porvoo on Finland’s south coast. A bilingual organisation, Futura offers coaching in Finland’s two official languages, Finnish and Swedish. What the club has set out to do is to make it possible for all young football enthusiasts to continue to play at their own level and in their own local area for as long as possible. The club’s training sessions are designed to be as relaxed and accessible as possible so that all youngsters, regardless of skill level or previous experience, can get involved, develop their skills at their own pace and fall in love with this fun and exciting sport.

When it comes to choosing the causes we support, we are always guided by our commitment to corporate social responsibility. The themes closest to our hearts include sports and exercise and promoting the well-being of children and young people in our local communities.

Club sports are not just an opportunity to experience the sheer exhilaration of physical exercise and to brush up on your technical skills, but also a chance for young athletes to acquire new social skills and enjoy the sense of camaraderie that comes from playing as part of a team. Thanks to a positive atmosphere and the presence of nurturing adults, the young athletes will develop their resilience and self-esteem, which will benefit them both on and off the pitch. Which is precisely why we at Ensto believe all children and young people should have a chance to take part and have a go.

As a family-owned company, we want to support families in our local communities and to promote their well-being. Through FC Futura Juniorit and our other chosen charities, we make it possible for children and young people from low income families to get involved in the sports they love.
