Joy of skiing in Finnish Lapland

The traditional cross-country skiing event, Vaskoolihiihto, is held in Finnish Lapland, Saariselkä, every year on Good Fridays. The event gathers skiers to Saariselkä on March 30, 2018 to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and Finland's most spectacular ski trails. Its popularity is growing year by year, with already over 600 participants last year. Vaskoolihiihto is arranged by the Sports Society Lapin Sudet ry.

The skiing event, Vaskoolihiihto, has long traditions. Ensto is honored to be part of this renowned skiing event, which is now organized for the 36th time. In the beautiful mountain landscape of Saariselkä you can truly experience being part of nature. In addition to nature, skiing offers a challenge and a good feeling – a better quality of life and experiences. In Vaskoolihiihto this is all done in a great spirit when 600 skiers enjoy the ski trails in Finnish Lapland.

The organizing club, Lapin Sudet, has spread the joy of sports since 1926. Ensto, on the other hand, has been making life better with electricity for 60 years. To celebrate our 60th anniversary we will do 60 acts for better life and for a better future together with our customers and other stakeholders. One of these acts is to support this skiing event. As the protector of Vaskoolihiihto, the CEO of Ensto Ari Virtanen, has the pleasure to send the participants to the skiing track to enjoy the better life and the joy of skiing.

Ensto's values – Trust capital, Creativity and Winning together – are present in the everyday work of Ensto people. Every skier in Vaskoolihiihto needs the same values. You have to trust yourself, your equipment, and the arrangements. Creativity is needed in steep ups and downs. And all the skiers who have come to the finish line can certainly experience winning together.

Enjoy the fun of skiing and the joy of the sport!
