Ensto in Russia took part in the World Cleanup Day, and in addition, promoted the event in the effort to bring further awareness to the cause around the greater St. Petersburg area.
Contrary to other territories, Ensto Russia didn’t get just one single team for the World Cleanup Day but joined forces with local district teams who were situated all around the city and suburbs of the city’s 6 million-strong population.
The preparations began long before the official date, which was September 15th this year. Volunteers were already scouting for potential cleanup ground in the summer, opting for places favored by larger amounts of summer vacationers. Many volunteer organizations such as “SaveMum” and “The Population Front” were all united together under the framework of the World Cleanup Day. Although most of these organizations don’t publicly advertise their contribution to the city’s cleanliness, the results are clearly seen – and enjoyed – by everyone.
Ensto Russia was delighted to be part of the World Cleanup Day. Activities like this help us to appreciate the beauty of our surroundings and improve the environment around us.
As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations, Ensto took part in the World Cleanup Day in eight countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, India, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.
