Mika Haikola is the Senior Vice President responsible for global sales at Ensto. Mika started his Ensto career in 2019 as he was appointed President of the Ensto Utility Networks business unit and member of Ensto Management Group.

He graduated from the University of Oulu with an M.Sc. in Process Engineering in 1995 and has worked in an international business environment throughout his career. Mika has held sales and business management positions at ABB and, most recently, with increasing responsibility in US-based company Babcock & Wilcox before joining Ensto.

Mika thinks that we are currently living interesting times as change is rapid in all industrial segments, while different types of smart solutions and IoT are becoming as a standard in developed countries. "Ensto has high quality products and we need to stay on top of things to make sure that R&D and product development has a “customer voice” included. This way we are developing products and solutions that our customers need for their future demands", he says.

He finds Ensto as a stable profitable company with strong private ownership, willing to take next step in international growth with great products and professional people. Mika thinks that Ensto's values are strong and people are a valuable asset for the company.

Mika and his wife live in Helsinki, and they have two grown-up daughters. He likes to exercise as balance of extensive travelling and currently outdoor activities with dog, crossfit and golf are close to his heart.
