Ensto acquires French company Tridelta Parafoudres


Ensto Novexia has acquired from Tridelta International AG the entire share capital of Tridelta Parafoudres SA, a manufacturer of surge arresters for utility networks, in April 8th, 2016. This acquisition is perfectly in line with Ensto's strategy of focusing in the power quality of electric distribution networks.

Tridelta Parafoudres is a French company located in Bagnères de Bigorre, France, specializing in medium and high voltage surge arresters that protect electrical lines against over voltages and thereby increase the networks reliability. Tridelta Parafoudres is a well-known supplier for major utilities and rail operators on all continents. Tridelta Parafoudres employs about 40 professionals and has turnover of 12 million euros.

With this acquisition, Ensto is strengthening its capabilities in providing proven solutions for line building. "Tridelta Parafoudres has a solid technology in surge arresters, proven expertise, an extensive network of distributors and long-term customer relationships. Its product offering will complement Ensto's current product selection, especially in the area of surge arresters, which are vital components in building network power quality in extreme climate conditions", says Ari Virtanen, CEO of Ensto Group.

In the Ensto Group, Tridelta Parafoudres will benefit of working closely with Ensto Novexia and Ensto´s wide sales network. Both companies will gain operational synergies by working together. Tridelta Parafoudres will be part of the Ensto Utility Networks business unit as of April 8th 2016. Tridelta Parafoudres will be renamed Ensto Novexia Parafoudres and Matthieu Givelet will be appointed Managing Director. After the transaction, the estimated turnover of Ensto Group for 2016 is approximately 280 million euros, and it employs approximately 1,600 persons in 20 countries.
